Adair Simmons I was born on April 23, 1930 in Paducah, Kentucky.  In 1948 I moved to East Chicago, Indiana, and began working in the Steel Industry. In 1958, at 28 years of age, I converted to Catholicism.  I was baptized at St. Casimir Church in Hammond and made my confirmation at Holy Angels Cathedral in Gary, Indiana.   In 1970, I married Mona and we had 6 boys and 6 girls (1 deceased-Georgia).  I became an active church member of Nativity of Our Savior in Portage in 1975. I have had a wide range of experiences in the church.  I am a past Grand Knight for Council 9114 and served as a member of the Pastoral Council.  Presently, I am an usher, Eucharistic Minister and 4th degree member of the Father Sorin Assembly. My interests include serving others through re-building together with Christmas in April program in Portage.  I also enjoy golfing, bowling, talking to people and serving the Lord.
