Barbara Kline Born in Pontiac Michigan, April 16, 1945, the youngest of four children of Charles and Kathryn McDermott.  Her family moved to Griffith, IN in 1954.  Barbara attended St. Mary's Parish School and Griffith High School., graduating in 1963.  After High School she worked for Prudential Life Insurance Company.  She met Don Kline through the CYA Noll Club.  They were married at St. Mary's, by Msgr. Hildebrandt on October 8, 1966.  Don is a retired Letter Carrier with 37 years of service with the USPS.  Barbara was home for 18 years raising their three children.  Daughter: Beth (fiancé Ryan) of Woodstock, IL, Sons: Dave (Shane) and Keith of Broomfield CO.  Dave and Shane just presented Barbara and Don with their first grandchild, Evan Jon Kline, born November 21, 2005.  They feel very proud and very blessed. Barbara joined the staff at Rees Funeral Home, Inc. in 1987. In August '05 she moved from the Hobart Chapel out to their new chapel in Winfield.   In January 2006 she will begin her 20th year with the funeral home.  In the past Barbara has been involved with the CCD program, the RCIA and other ministries in the church.  She and Don enjoy participating in many of the parish activities.  They also enjoy the movies and riding the bike trail from Hobart to Chesterton.  Barbara is honored to be a lector for our parish.   If you see Barbara around, be sure to say Hi !  We hope you "Got To Know" her !!
