Carlos Cruz My name is Carlos Cruz and I am the Food Pantry Chairperson.  I have been a member of Nativity Parish since 1967.  My wife Noelia and I moved to Portage from Gary, Indiana to be close to my job at Bethlehem Steel.   I am the proud father of three sons: Carols Jr., Jason and Rick and one daughter, Ann Marie.  I have six grandchildren. I attended grade school at Holy Trinity and high school at Froebel High, both in Gary, Indiana.  I graduated from Purdue University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1964. I have been actively involved during my years at Nativity with various organizations such as the Holy Name Society, Parish Council, Lector at Sunday Masses, Knights of Columbus Council 9114 and was a member of the Church Building committee.  I took over the Food Pantry in 1983 from Earl St. Germain after he retired and moved from the area.
